Ecojew
Eco-jew and Decorative Objects is a collection of jewelry and decorative pieces made from paper. The bracelets, necklaces and objects are formed from discarded toilet paper roll tubes and from handmade recycled paper. All pieces are made by hand with a cutting technique. Production is carried out by a social inclusion project in Brazil that serves low-income people with mental illness and social vulnerability. The collection gives a new use to a material that is discarded every day, and it keeps the whole cycle sustainable, from material to production.
Ecojew Jewelry by Roberta Sa Faustini has been selected as a grand example of fashion design by the A' Design Awards. Ecojew Jewelry earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2020. The A' Jewelry Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that recognizes outstanding design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
