Essence
Essence is an earring inspired by human connection before and after the coronavirus pandemic. The main form is spherical, and lines move across the surface and intersect. These lines enclose a semi-hidden white pearl, which stands for the essence of life. The lines then end in small pearls of a contrasting dark color, a reference to social distance. A separate pendant, 20 mm long, hangs below the sphere. The design was modeled with software, produced by 3D printing and direct casting, and the pearls are set by hand.
Essence Earring by MASOUD SERATI NOURI has been highlighted as a creative representation of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Essence Earring won the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2022. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which recognizes excellent design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
