Tambourine
Tambourine B is a bracelet inspired by the tambourine, a percussion instrument that completes the rhythm of music. The bracelet holds a movable inner ring that shifts inside the outer ring and produces a soft sound when the wearer moves. The precise fit of the two rings makes the construction method complex. Sterling silver is used for the piece. Hand sketches were converted into digital models and printed in resin, then cast, soldered, polished and silver plated by hand. The lightweight and minimal form is intended as a symbol of life, dance and music.
Tambourine Bracelet by Nardin Sabounchi was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of fashion design by the A' Design Award. Tambourine Bracelet received the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2022. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which honors excellent design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
