Midnight Garden
Midnight Garden is a jewelry piece that can be worn as a pendant or as a brooch. The design shows a garden under a night sky, with ruby flowers, twisted gold leaf vines, a peacock tail and a dragonfly at the centre. A hidden bail at the top holds a chain, and a separate mechanism at the back allows use as a brooch. The piece is made of 18k white and yellow gold and set with an unheated Spessartine garnet, sapphires, alexandrites, rubies, emeralds and diamonds. It measures about 68 mm by 50 mm. Each part was 3D modelled, cast, hand polished and assembled.
Midnight Garden Two Way Pendant and Brooch by Aye Nyein Pyu was selected as an innovative representation of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Midnight Garden Two Way Pendant and Brooch received the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2022. The A' Jewelry Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which celebrates superior design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
