Calibre
Calibre is a wearable metabolic tracker that measures breath in real time. Gas and pressure sensors are housed in a small, light wireless module that clips to a face piece. The face piece is made of clear plastic with a soft silicone gasket that rests below the nose. An adjustable head strap holds the face piece in place without limiting breathing or speech. The sensors record airflow, oxygen, carbon dioxide, humidity and temperature. A linked application shows the readings, so the effects of daily activity and exercise on the body can be followed.
Calibre Breath Metabolic Tracker by Design 1st has been identified as an innovative illustration of product design by the A' Design Award. Calibre Breath Metabolic Tracker earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Wearable Technologies Design in 2022. The A' Wearable Technologies Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition which celebrates excellent design of smartwatches, fitness trackers, VR headsets, AR glasses, medical devices, smart jewelry, body cameras, wearable computers and more.
